I’m Maria-Angel, but you can call me Ang! I’m a graphic designer, from Manta, Ecuador, now based in New York, Long Island. I am veryy passionate about creating cool, visually engaging work that combines strong design with meaningful storytelling. My experience spans branding, editorial, advertising, packaging, illustration and digital design.

Today, I work as a graphic designer in the sports publishing world, where I get to bring ideas to life through print and digital design. I’m always curious, always creating, and always looking for new ways to turn ideas into something visual, meaningful, and uniquely my own.

My passion for art began when I picked up a paintbrush at six years old, and I’ve been creating ever since. I’ve always been drawn to color, creativity, and the little details that make life interesting. From painting and illustration to photography and graphic design to good old crafting, my creativity has never fit into just one medium. What started as a love for making art eventually grew into a passion for visual storytelling and a career in graphic design.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications–Graphic Design from Farmingdale State College, where I developed my skills and discovered just how much I could do with my creativity. During my time there, I also had the opportunity to study abroad at the Florence University of the Arts in Italy. Living and creating in Florence gave me a whole new appreciation for art, architecture, culture, and design, and pushed me to see creativity from a different perspective. Those experiences continue to influence the way I approach my work and the way I see the world around me.

Today, I work professionally as a graphic designer in the sports publication industry, creating engaging visuals across print and digital while continuing to expand my creative skill set. From social media and branding to illustration and exploring new mediums, I’m always looking for new ways to challenge myself, learn, and grow. I love taking an idea and turning it into something visual, thoughtful, and exciting, and I’m always looking forward to seeing where my creativity takes me next.
